2021 Consolidated Annual Performance Report “CAPER”

Background

The City of Niagara Falls, New York, is required to submit an annual Performance Report (CAPERS) to the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development. The Report assesses the City’s performance in administering the Community Development Block Grant, HOME and Emergency Solutions Grant Programs in the program year 2021. It will be submitted by December 1, 2022.

Public Comment Periods

 A public comment period for the CAPER opens Monday, November 10, 2022.  Public comments must be received in writing on or before November 29, 2022.  Written comments may be submitted in person at, or by mail addressed to:  City of Niagara Falls, Department of Community Development, 745 Main Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14302.  Written comments may be submitted by e-mail addressed to Clifford Scott at Clifford.Scott@niagarafalls.ny.gov.

 Public Hearings

The Niagara Falls Community Development will hold a public hearing on November 29, 2022 commencing at 5PM. The public hearing will be held at the Niagara Falls City Council Chambers in City Hall, 745 Main St, Niagara Falls, NY, to provide information and allow citizen comment regarding the draft 2021 CAPER prior to submittal of the Plan to HUD.

Public comments to be read during the public hearing may be submitted in advance of the hearing to Clifford.Scott@niagarafalls.ny.gov. 

The full Performance Report is available for review at: https://nf-cd.org/news. A hard copy of the report can be obtained by written request or by calling the Community Development Office at the number listed below.
