2024 CDBG, HOME and ESG Funding Applications

The City of Niagara Falls, through its Citizen Participation process, develops an annual Action Plan that lists and prioritizes local housing and non-housing community development needs. Projects that address these priorities will be considered for funding.

Funding sources for the Action Plan are received through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and are administered by the City of Niagara Falls Community Development Department. Three main funding sources are made available for program and project grants: Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Services Grant (ESG). These grants allow for better service and programming to low/moderate income areas, residents of low/moderate income, emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, homelessness prevention, and other urgent needs.

The City of Niagara Falls Community Development Department is currently accepting applications for the 2024 CDBG, HOME and ESG funding sources.
